The purpose of my web page is to bring to you, the stitcher who
enjoys needlepoint, canvas designs that I and hopefully you
would like to stitch. The web site is set-up like small galleries,
each artist having a section of their own.

If you are interested in purchasing any of these designs, go to the
list of retailers button on the home page to select a local
needlepoint shop in your area.
I started seeing needlepoint design ideas in all kinds of other things, stained glass windows,
geometric patterns and especially architectural details of buildings. Many of my earlier stitched
pieces, have these elements in them. As my design eye improved, I found ideas for needlepoint
designs in so many things around me. Old vintage fabrics, window grill work, and even the energy
of Christmas in New York!

While working for a telecommunications company as a Tech Support Manager I realized that
success comes from working with a team. I'm fortunate to be able to work with a great team that
helps me get the ideas out of my head and on to needlepoint canvas. I very much enjoy creating
the designs you see in DJ Designs.

As the business comes in to it's 5th year I want to thank you, the consumer, and the Retail Store
owners that keep telling me, "You're on the right track, and keep doing what you're doing!"

Thanks,

About DJ & DJ Designs

DJ is for Dale John. A nick name given
while I was a kid, running around a
house of 5 crazy kids.

DJ Designs came from my passion for
Needlepoint. Growing up in the San
Francisco Bay Area in the 60's was a
great time. As a child I was
encouraged to try all kinds of art
projects. The one that stuck with me
was Needlepoint. The artist that drew
me in at a young age was Peter Ashe.
His Victorian Houses of San Francisco
were amazing. Using a pen I would
draw on needlepoint canvas the
outlines of a design, then I would color
it in with yarn. So much more
entertaining then a coloring book.
